Charity Velodrome Event 

Supported by Hugh Potter, of Potter Rees Dolan, BASIC are holding a charity cycling event at the Manchester Velodrome on Thursday 18th October, 8pm - 10pm.


BASIC exists to serve people suffering from acquired brain and spinal injury and their families. The charity specialises in centre-based services for people who have undergone treatment for traumatic head injury, brain haemorrhage, brain tumour, stroke or similar condition. The services we provide also help people manage long-term neurological conditions. 

The Event 

Join BASIC at our velodrome day. You will get the chance to ride on the same boards as currently olympic champions as Jason Kenny and Laura Trott. 

On the day we will run two sessions each an hour in length. The sessions will be closely supervised by a trained coach. 

You will need to hire any equipment, bike and shoes at the velodrome if you do not already have it. All of the velodrome hire bikes use the Look pedal cleat system. Please not that bikes with gears, specialist time trial bars or brakes are now allowed on the track.
