Summary

It is a magnet for trekkers the world over and one of the most impressive charity challenges you can take on. 

Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains, with huge glaciers flowing down from the summit, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the rewards for pushing your body to the limits. 

This is a tough trek and the route has been designed to allow for gradual acclimatisation, with an extra day included for the more traditional Machame Route. 

This challenge takes places over 11 days with 7 days of trekking, walking over 93km! 

  • Day 1: Departure Day 
  • Day 2: Transfer to our hotel, briefing and equipment check with each participant to see that we are all fully prepared 
  • Day 3: Machame Gate to Machate Hut Camp 
  • Day 4: Machame Hut Camp to Shira Camp 
  • Day 5: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp 
  • Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley Camp 
  • Day 7: Karanga Valley Vamp to Barafu Hut Camp 
  • Day 8: Barafu Hut Camp to Uhuru Peak 
  • Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate 
  • Day 10: Departure Day 
  • Day 11: Arrive back in the UK 

Cost 

Registration Fee: £475 

Minimum Sponsorship: £4,200 plus Airport Tax Fuel Surcharge: £250
