An Old Friend and a New Challenge

For those of you with many charity runs under your belt, the Great North Run will be one of the classics.

But this year there's a predictable twist - like many things in 2020 - it's going virtual.

Not entirely virtual though, you still need to physically run outdoors at the same time as all the other runners - but you do it wherever you are, connected to other participants and supporters via the event app.

This is super for safety, and great for new opportunities too, such as:

  • It's now open to anybody
  • You can take part anywhere you want
  • It's free to enter
  • You can use the app and stay connected to the community
  • Or enjoy the isolation and just pretend you're in the lead?

Some things of course remain the same:

  • The distance
  • The date
  • The sweat, the challenge, the glory
  • The chance to run for Brain Injury Survivors
  • The chance to run for Rehabilitation and Hope
  • The chance to run for BASIC

So head over to the official site to get all the details for how The Great North Run works in a virtual world.

And let us know if you'd like your Great North Run to be on BASIC's road for a better life after Brain and Spinal Injury.

Booking for this event has now closed.
