Community Cafe Manager 

3-year initial contract 30hrs p.w funded by National Lottery 

BASIC (Brain and Spinal Injury Centre) are re-opening our unique training cafe where clients and staff are the main customers. The 'Food for Thought' cafe is based inside our centre in Salford and we are seeking someone with exceptional people skills alongside culinary skills to head up this project. It's an exciting role which aims to provide high quality, healthy food and a high standard of service. 

You will ideally have culinary skills equivalent of a NVQ level 2 and relative experience, plus a Intermediate Level Food Hygiene qualification. You will be responsible for: 

  • Menu
  • Food orders 
  • Stock control 
  • Food preparation 
  • Supervision and training of volunteers 
  • Creating systems to meet legislative requirements
