How can you volunteer?
Fundraising
There’s so much more to fundraising than rattling a bucket. It’s fun, rewarding and an opportunity to meet new people.
Help raise money for BASIC by:
- Organising or helping to run an event
- Promoting our work by giving talks, writing letters or applying for funding
- Get involved in our fundraising events
- Charity Collection
Our Centre
Our centre offers many roles from serving customers in our cafe and charity shop to helping on our reception welcoming new and existing clients.
Cafe Volunteer – Help run and serve customers at our Food for Thought cafe.
Shop Volunteer – Help manage stock and sell items in our small charity shop

Internships
Are you looking for a job in the charity sector? or looking to develop your professional skills in Marketing and Communications then we can help. From 6weeks to 6 months we have a range of opportunities for you.
As an intern you could be developing a project, conducting research or planning an event.
